The thing is, that he’s correct.
In a republic, where the electorate decides, there is justice, investigation and vetting.
In a democrazy the people get to decide. And people decide based on all sorts of garbage - Including “He just skeeves me out. Here is a communist that I would ‘like to have a beer with’”.
of our current 535 legislators only 3 should be there. The rest are trash.
To this very day we are supposed to believe that Gary Condit didn’t kill Chandra Levy, and that Hillary Clinton is totally innocent in everything she has ever done.
And do we ? Nope. In our screwed up world, people get away with anything and everything.

While you are correct, and that it is one thing that a person can make a voting decision on any criteria, it is another thing entirely to encourage a uniquely un-American concept -- that innocent until proven guilty does not matter.
