Is it possible that those who pass as the "mainstream press" of today, representing the "old guard" of the Clintons, and not yet accepting that their "reign" is over, fit the description provided by Thomas Jefferson in the following words:
[A despotic] government always [keeps] a kind of standing army of newswriters who, without any regard to truth or to what should be like truth, [invent] and put into the papers whatever might serve the ministers.
