Roy Moore's penchant for flirting with teen girls was "common knowledge" and "not a big secret" around Gadsden, according to some area residents.
The Senate candidate has denied any wrongdoing in the wake of a report from The Washington Post in which four women accused Moore of inappropriate advances - and in one instance, a sexual encounter - toward them when they were teens and he was in his early 30s.
One of the four women claims she was 14 at the time, making her the only one whose claim would represent a legal violation. Moore has said he never met her. A fifth woman came forward this afternoon.
Moore and other Republican leaders have questioned why it took so long for his accusers, now in their 50s, to come forward publicly.
And yet people who lived in Etowah County during that time have said Moore's flirting with and dating much younger women and girls was no secret.
"These stories have been going around this town for 30 years," said Blake Usry, who grew up in the area and lives in Gadsden. "Nobody could believe they hadn't come out yet."
Usry, a traveling nurse, said he knew several of the girls that Moore tried to flirt with.
"It's not a big secret in this town about Roy Moore," he said. "That's why it's sort of frustrating to watch" the public disbelieve the women who have come forward, he said.

Oh give me a break. So in 1975 it was “accepted” in the south for 30 something men, who are pillars in the community to flirt with 14 year old girls? What planet are you living on?

Even if all five women are lying, the guy still was into high school girls,
that comes from about a dozen other people now.
People who knew him from work and people who knew him from cruising at the mall. That is the pattern of behavior.

Quite frankly I do not know the truth regarding Judge Moore. I also find it fishy that these allegations come out just before an election for obvious reasons. But that aside...a grown man wanting to cavort around with “barely-women” is a little questionable to say the least. Not withstanding allegations of predatory behaviour, just the allegations he liked to hang around high school girls should raise some hackles

Sounds like the 14 year old the 17 or 18 year old read this one, or whoever put the words in her mouth.
In today’s world it’s categorized as aggressive male behavior.

Moore has been faithfully married to his wife for over 30 years. Blake says it has been circulating for 30 years and after seeing a photo of Blake I wonder if he was even born before Moore got married?

Normally not, but I’ll take your word for it in this instance.
What I will say is if this is all a coordinated hit job as it first appeared to me, they have done a stellar job and earned every penny they were paid.
But as I said: I don’t care if it’s all true. This seat must be won by Roy Moore.
“Common knowledge”? What BS! If it was such common knowledge all these years, why was it never used against him during the 10 Commandments controversy?
The "truth" is that Moore has been in the public eye for 40 or 50 years and he was never accused of anything in any way even slightly immoral. Just the opposite. He was blasted for being too moral and upholding the bible. And now in a matter of days with unproven and unprovable accusations of "flirting" that he's a "predator" who preys on children. BALONEY. This is the establishment trying to take out someone they can't control with power, money or sex.
