I lived in the south, a lot of times I heard any kind of friendly conversation with a woman described as flirting even though it was innocent.
Like asking someone where they go to school or what church they belong to can innocent or flirting. Same with saying your dress looks pretty today.
This is different to what I saw in the North where flirting always involved saying something like we should go out sometime or I hope that we meet again. Flirting was borderline hitting on someone to tease them to go out with you which would definitely get you beat in the south if you were doing it with young girls.
I’ve been out of the game for a while. Do people even flirt any more, or do they just cut to the chase?
