ICE agents rebel, say Trump ‘betrayed’ them by leaving Obama’s people in place
Washington Times ^ | 11/14/17 | Stephen Dinan

The country’s immigration enforcement officers launched a website Tuesday demanding President Trump do more to clean up their agency, saying he’s left the Obama team in place and it’s stymieing his goal of enforcing the laws on the books.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement supervisors in Philadelphia banned officers from wearing bullet proof vests during an operation in the dangerous “badlands” section in the city’s north, for fear of offending the immigrant community, the new website, jicreport.com, charges.

Meanwhile officers in one Utah city are required to give city officials seven days’ heads-up before arresting anyone — and by the time they go in, the migrants they’re targeting seem to have gotten a heads-up and taken off, the website says.

Compiled by the National ICE Council, which represents ICE officers, the website is part whistleblower and part primal scream for Mr. Trump to pay attention to a group of people who were among his staunchest backers during last year’s campaign.

“ICE Officers grudgingly admit that the only President they ever endorsed hasn’t kept his word, and many officers now feel betrayed,” the officers say on the new website.

Sorry boys but this falls on A.G. Sessions and he has probably recused himself on this or he is way to busy going after the pot smokers.

If this is true, the ruling is just silly!

Sessions may have influenced the climate, but this is the responsibility of the DHS chain of command and the DHS Secretary nominee Kirstjen Nielsen along with Obama holdovers.

I can understand why they feel betrayed. I do, too.

I voted for the “law and order” candidate. I wanted to see justice done....just like the ICE agents.

So far......nada.

That is not only true at ICE but throughout the entire federal bureaucracy. Major housecleaning is in order across the board.

Better work on the Army too allowing cutters, bipolars and other disasters waiting to happen to enlist.

Every single piece of Obama filth should’ve been shown the door on 20 Jan. 2017. You remove cancer by cutting it away completely, not by coexisting with it.

Hey, ICE, President Trump just needs to hear your concerns. He’s on your side.

This is 100% on Trump.

For some reason he is completely blind when it comes to dealing with staffing. Government wide.

No he's not blind. Once a Federal employee passes probation, due to the unions/contracts in place, it is nearly impossible to fire them.

Sadly, it's beginning to look that way, isn't it. I agree.

Good posting, O’M. This is an issue that needs to be brought out in the open, because the failure here impacts everything the Trump campaign stood for. Trump is derelict in his duties for refusing to purge the previous administration’s people in ALL positions of authority in the federal government. And I’m tired of hearing the rebuttals regarding “civil service” appointees being invulnerable to cutting. The Democrats cut Republican officeholders all the way down the line every damned time they reach the White House. Obama did it. Clinton did it. No one batted an eyelid. Where an administration has been so anti-American and so sympathetic to America’s enemies, as has the previous one, we the people are entitled to an explanation as to why DJT, with the extensive business experience he has under his belt, has either neglected, or been oblivious to, the most basic survival task every new CEO must complete upon taking up the reins of power in any organization, if he is to remain a viable leader.

President Trump is inundated with 28 years of treasonous, underhanded presidents who have flooded our courts and DC with equally treasonous, lying liberals.

Just exactly what is one man who has been in office just over one year, supposed to have accomplished?

It would seem that they could at least be transferred elsewhere, to some place where they can’t cause so much damage

Give him a break because he only has Pen & Phone at his avail and because the swamp will not comply with or support his agenda. And if you think we will get any meaningful tax reform, well...

I understand their frustration. We’re feeling similar frustration. Lots of problems; easy fixes. Nothing’s being done.

Trump was the best option we had by far, and he is obviously both doing and attempting to do a lot.

But he simply hasn’t executed in terms of getting agenda loyalists to his agenda in all the top positions he’s permitted to — either within specific agencies or even in his own WH!

And in terms of legislation, he has let Congress take the lead, where the only way to get real legislative reform through in this situation is for him to bother with having enough of his own team to craft and propose specific legislation — and then take it over the heads of the media and congress by making his case for it to the people.
