Roy Moore sex scandal is a big win for Mitch McConnell
CNBC ^ | November 14, 2017 | by Jake Novak

In the continuing Roy Moore sexual misconduct allegations controversy, there are a lot of unknowns. But we do know one thing: Mitch McConnell can't lose.

The rest of us? Not so much.

The accusations against Moore and the nature of those allegations couldn't have come at a better time for McConnell, whose top priority is and has always been consolidating his personal power in the Senate.

Politically, this works out well for McConnell because the news broke a few weeks after Moore defeated Senator Luther Strange in the Alabama special election primary. Strange was the candidate McConnell backed in the race, and the loss was a blow to his personal political fortunes.

McConnell has handled this controversy with a keen understanding of the current tenor of the country. Note that Monday, McConnell did not simply call for Moore to step aside from the race. He used the very politically correct term for responding to sexual assault allegations these days by uttering the phrase, "I believe the women, yes."

All the following likely scenarios favor McConnell.

RE: Roy Moore sex scandal is a big win for Mitch McConnell

The election isn’t until December, how could one make such a conclusion?

Until Bannon and conservatives learn to play as dirty as McConnell,
these type of attacks will continue.

Democrats cheering for GOP leadership should tell you all you need to know.
Its a setup by the UniParty to stay in power no matter what.

Yes, the RINOs are building credit with ‘women voters’, but they are destroying their credit with conservatives who “hold their nose” and vote for the RINO.
Looks to me like it’s a net loss for Republicans.
A BIG loss if Moore loses.

Of course it’s all gravy for Dems. They must be in stitches at how the RINOs always think Lucy won’t pull the ball away.

“The accusations against Moore and the nature of those allegations couldn’t have come at a better time for McConnell...”

Duh, he arranged it and probably hired Allred to pay some women to accuse him, that’s Allred’s specialty.

Until someone decides to “fund” such accusations against McConnell.

There, fixed it.

We need to start raising a $100 mil. war chest to defeat McConnell NOW!

Yeah a big win. One more Democrat in the Senate. One less Republican vote.
That way they have even more excuse for getting nothing accomplished.
They are going to get blown out in 2018.

The scandal here is that Mitch McConnell concocted this smear campaign.

Mitch McConnell might want to ponder on what recently happened to his colleague Rand Paul and multiply that by 10,000. Or will he close all roads between Alabama and Kentucky?

I fail to see how making more people aware of the deep state stranglehold of the USA government is a win for McConnell.

Thanks to all the a-tards in Kentucky who reeelected this POS in 2014. He won almost every single country and won over Matt Bevin 60% to 35%.

Well that certainly explains the character assassination.

McConnell’s preferred thug is Haley Barbour. He runs BGR Group, I think with Vin Weber, who is a well know swamp vermin. Probably using similar tactics as the DNC using cutout law firms to hire local goons.

Remember Mississippi.
