Two reporters are in Alabama trying to discredit Roy Moore’s accusers. They haven’t found much
National Review ^ | November 14, 2017 | by THEODORE KUPFER

Roy Moore is a Steve Bannon fantasy candidate. He’s an insurgent populist, a self-described renegade who shares Bannon’s arsonist attitude toward the Republican establishment and cares little for the proprieties of D.C. Or the basic standards of a civilized society, apparently, given that two women have accused Moore of criminal sexual assault and three more say he tried to “date” them when they were teenagers and he was in his thirties.

But to Bannon, who has returned to a leadership role at Breitbart since leaving the Trump administration, deviance is working alongside Mitch McConnell, not setting a conduct bar so low that even Anthony Weiner can clear it. Bannon won’t let Moore’s odiousness stand in the way of his burn-it-down dreams: He’s a Leninist, a fire-starter, and he’s got a trick up his sleeve.

Make that two, in the form of Aaron Klein and Matthew Boyle, the reporters who together constitute Breitbart’s investigative team. Bannon has sent them down to Alabama on a mission to defend Moore and discredit the bombshell Post report from last week, and their work is already bearing fruit. Just yesterday they broke a whopping four stories, each headline beginning with a breathless “EXCLUSIVE.” Step aside, Bob and Carl — two new gunslingers just rode in.

Many Alabama voters think that Moore brings enough good to the table that it’s worth overlooking the bad, even as the bad gets worse, and worse, and worse. Breitbart is doing its best to persuade them to remain entrenched, while the party leadership has refused to go along with Moore and his predations. If Bannon wins, the Republican party will resemble a more sinister version of the Democrats circa ’96.

On second thought, maybe we should be thankful that he keeps Klein and Boyle around.

Their lawyer wouldn’t have picked them if they were all really shady. The real question is whether there is corroborating evedence. Any evidence that Moore was banned from a mall? People do not get banned from malls without some sort of paper trail.

Maybe the writer should check out the FR threads on the “evidence” so far ..... there are “findings” and they aren’t in favor of the accuser & her attorney Gloria Allfraud.

What makes the whole Roy Moore saga so pathetic is that he'd be more suited to a seat in Congress if the allegations against him were TRUE.

I think you win post of the day.

Oh it just gets worse and worse! I heard foreign stories from years ago about Ted and golden showers from Little boys!

Pay me enough and I'll give any detail you want.

Child Safety door locks did not come out til the early 80’s, how exactly did the Judge Lock lock her in the car???

The signature in the yearbook, spelled the Name of the restaurant wrong

the signature and note is in different handwriting and in different colors

do Students usually have their yearbooks getting signed in December?? Are they Frikkin Crazy!

If it was traumatic, why did she need a script to tell her story, I can tell you every last detail surrounding every traumatic event in my life, and I do NOT need Notes or a Script to follow and help me remember.

This whole thing is Ridiculous, and the stories are unbelievable on their face with so many crucial details being absolutely Impossible to have occurred. When these false allegations are finally proven to be false, A whole lot of people should go to JAIL and be ASSET STRIPPED!

As there are no allegations withing the last ~35 years indicates that Moore has been rehabilitated.

The leftists should be giving him a medal.

So true. I don’t believe the girl’s story, but even if it were true, he’s not the same man, now. HOWEVER, if it IS true, and he has turned his life around and become a devoted disciple of the Lord, he should admit his past, and go forward. Of course, he’s hanged if he does, and hanged if he doesn’t. IF he’s guilty of the accusations. If he’s NOT, if I were him, I wouldn’t give up, no matter WHAT.

I think I had a ‘78 4dr sedan (V-8, 4-spd) that had rear doors where the internal door release handles could be mechanically disconnected via a lever accessible when those doors were open.

Ted Kupfer used to talk about going out with little boys back in 1976?

1976, Hell Last Month My Wife and I along with some other angry Parents had to Chase him Out of the Park for Ogling and Filming the little boys playing soccer. It sure looked like him

That’s exactly right .
Meanwhile you hear not a peep about the Dem running for Senator in New Mexico that was arrested the other day for stalking someone .It’s not his first arrest for stalking either. They can’t wait to welcome back Bob Menendez either even though he in the middle of a trial for corruption charges and they suspect he had sex with minors on the trips that led to the corruption charges.

There is only one reason they don’t want Moore and that is cause Moore isn’t dirty like the rest of them.

Fails to mention a handwriting expert has declared the yearbook notes are forgeries. Fails to mention the accuser’s dates don’t match up with Moore’s days in law school, etc.

Also, I understand that he was never the district attorney, but the deputy district attorney in that county.

Moore may well be a “nut” in the eyes of the world as this herd of NeverTrumpists are certainly arrayed against him, filing in line to the side of gals with claims of vulgar events now roughly 40 years old.

Alabama voters can either decide to let events overtake the future of the country, and let Moore be pounded out of contention and to let a Democrat win, or they can place the good of the country above the noise and vote for Moore, who brings his outstanding conservative record to the ballot.

...trying to discredit Roy Moore’s accusers. They haven’t found much...

CNN Photo from the CNN Twitter feed:

If I'm seeing the unretouched photo from the CNN twitter feed properly (https://twitter.com/CNN/status/930205088299257859)...

...it looks like somebody named "Roy" signed the yearbook with a black ink pen, and then somebody added "Moore" and the rest with a blue ink pen!

The photo is cited and accessible from the CNN twitter link above. It looks legitimate to me. The CNN high resolution photo shows the color changes better than others.

“Not one trollop has come forth to say they were molested by Moore last week, or last year, or a few years ago.”

Or the past three decades.

The liberal generated mass hysteria exists in a state outside of time.

But those orchestrating this must know this. It doesn’t matter to them. Anything for the party.

That’s amazing what you report. He has no defense against the charge of molesting little boys?

If he has offered no defense he obviously then, has none.

What defense has National Review offered?
