Two reporters are in Alabama trying to discredit Roy Moore’s accusers. They haven’t found much
National Review ^ | November 14, 2017 | by THEODORE KUPFER

Roy Moore is a Steve Bannon fantasy candidate. He’s an insurgent populist, a self-described renegade who shares Bannon’s arsonist attitude toward the Republican establishment and cares little for the proprieties of D.C. Or the basic standards of a civilized society, apparently, given that two women have accused Moore of criminal sexual assault and three more say he tried to “date” them when they were teenagers and he was in his thirties.

But to Bannon, who has returned to a leadership role at Breitbart since leaving the Trump administration, deviance is working alongside Mitch McConnell, not setting a conduct bar so low that even Anthony Weiner can clear it. Bannon won’t let Moore’s odiousness stand in the way of his burn-it-down dreams: He’s a Leninist, a fire-starter, and he’s got a trick up his sleeve.

Make that two, in the form of Aaron Klein and Matthew Boyle, the reporters who together constitute Breitbart’s investigative team. Bannon has sent them down to Alabama on a mission to defend Moore and discredit the bombshell Post report from last week, and their work is already bearing fruit. Just yesterday they broke a whopping four stories, each headline beginning with a breathless “EXCLUSIVE.” Step aside, Bob and Carl — two new gunslingers just rode in.

Many Alabama voters think that Moore brings enough good to the table that it’s worth overlooking the bad, even as the bad gets worse, and worse, and worse. Breitbart is doing its best to persuade them to remain entrenched, while the party leadership has refused to go along with Moore and his predations. If Bannon wins, the Republican party will resemble a more sinister version of the Democrats circa ’96.

On second thought, maybe we should be thankful that he keeps Klein and Boyle around.

let’s be clear- I don’t know if he has a defense or not- but so far he has offered no defense- what is he waiting for? Why is it taking him so long to mount a defense? obviously very shady- and since he has not come out sooner in his own defense, one can only surmise he is guilty - see Ted- two can play that game- Guilty until proven innocent

The other team has finally gotten the ball but hasn’t done much in the milisecond that they have had it.

They must not be trying very hard.

The mother of one of the accusers has already totally discredited her.

So it’s “wrong” for a 30 something male to hit on or ask out teenaged+ girls? And that disqualifies anyone from public office?

How old was Abedin when hilLIAR first “asked her out”? Gee, what was the age spread between Slick Willie and Monica? The former Miss Arkansas?

Such BS.

Were WFB Jr. alive today, he’d snatch Rich Lowry bald and sack the rest of his NR Uniparty cronies.

"You would think he had been arrested for sexual misconduct the way this is being portrayed!"

In some remnants of the genteel society of the south, women of proper families were protected and sheltered from dalliance until marriage. To accomplish this, a man's sowing of wild oats elsewhere was not frowned upon. Maybe this archaic way of thinking has convinced Moore that in his own mind that he did no wrong and that that society of the time found the behavior as not criminal. Just a wild and crazy thought, but cotillions and vestiges of privilege of wealth still can be found.

Many Alabama voters think that Moore brings enough good to the table that it’s worth letting due process sort out the merit of the salacious allegations.

Moore is considered innocent until proven guilty. New Yorkers, Democrats, and the GOPe do not have jurisdiction over this case.

They want you to join them as judge, jury, and executioner without due process. What country or system of government do they represent?

It is always difficult to disprove what cannot be proved, beyond a mere he-said she-said allegation.

But that is all Dims are ever shooting for, an allegation they know and can trust the media will use in a “guilty until proven innocent” manner, only now they can trust in the scandalous betray-their-own-party RINOs to join them.

You think Buckley was a conservative? His brother James was based on the Senate record.

Here is what I posted on another thread a couple of days ago:

Judge Moore graduates from West Point, goes to Vietnam, completes his Army service, attends law school, and begins practicing law. At that point, he is in his early 30s and ready to find a mate. In the late 70s, women are still marrying in their teens or early 20s, particularly in the South (where I’m from). Women his age are already married with families. The pool of available, child-bearing age women are young. When Judge Moore does marry in 1985, he is 38, his wife Kayla is 24.

The now 53 y/o woman who claims Judge Moore molested her at 14 is from a broken home, thrice divorced, attempted suicide at 16, and has had financial and legal problems. There are also reports she has made similar allegations against other men. She is not believable.

The other women that the Washington Compost (and now Gloria Allred) dug up were at the age of consent if or when they encountered Judge Moore. They have serious credibility problems, too.

Older men marrying younger women is/was common in the South. Female relatives in my family, including my mother, married in their teens to older men and became housewives, mothers to healthy children, and the backbone of their families. My father and mother, both from Gadsden, Alabama, Judge Moore’s hometown, met when he was 16 and she was 9. They lived two houses apart, and my maternal grandmother asked my father to tutor my mother in math. My father completed high school, graduated from college, fought in WWII, and returned to marry my mother shortly after her 18th birthday. He was 24 and a young Army major (battlefield promotions). They wanted to marry when my mother was 16, but decided to wait until after my father’s return from war was ensured. Like Judge Moore & Kayla, they raised four children to honorable adulthood, and after 66+ years of marriage and a passel of grandchildren & great grandchildren, they rest together at Arlington cemetery.

Bottom line: Judge Moore has done nothing wrong

And now, it's a conspiracy between the News organizations, Getty and the rest.

152 years after Appomattox and another example of the Yankee government STILL dictating to Alabama and the other Confederate States what to do, who to vote for, ad nauseum.

Time out is OVER. Deo vindice

Or as Rush Limbaugh pointed out the car that would have allowed the driver to lock her in from his side did not exist in 1977.

Doesn't exist now either.

That's my problem with this matter. The US Senate was originally crafted as "The States House" pre-17th Amendment. Now, McConnell along with his minions and millions are actively involved in Mississippi, Kentucky, Utah, Kansas, and now Alabama. It's getting close to being "McConnell's Senate". Disgusting.

Woman never claimed Moore locked the door from the driver side. She said as he was groping her, he locked the door so she couldn’t get out. Seems to me he reached over,as he already was allegedly groping her, and locked her door.

Well that is a lie.........I have seen info that would create doubt just on FB. Take the signature on the year book...besides the 7’s are not the same...he signed it Roy Moore DA. Roy Moore was not a DA in 77 he was an assistant DA which no one would sign DA when they were just an assistant. Old Hickory was written Olde Hickory which is wrong...The photo from what was said on FB is of a different Old Hickory restaurant...I could go on but then these smart reporters in Al surely have found this out by now as I am just 1 person not even on the ground searching for the truth

With all due respect, where the H does that get us when it comes to honesty and transparency being a hallmark of a civil society. It does nobody any good to be the new boss, just like the old boss.

The truth shall set you free, but first it will drive you crazy.
