Gerry Studds and Barney Frank were representatives, not senators. the *people of Massachusetts* did not vote for them. The people who lived in their congressional districts voted for them.
It’s one of the reasons I don’t have to hide my face in shame when Shelia Jackson Lee ... if not THE biggest loon in Congress then somewhere in the top 3 ... is considered.
