In ‘66 we had Master Sergeant Filimino Imperial A-3-10 Ft. Ord. All of 4ft 6”, and that included a perpetual smile on his face. That smile was his trademark. I believe he wore it as part of his uniform. His Smokey the Bear hat was bigger than him, but you didn’t even mess with the man. It was “YES SIR!”, and you meant it from the bottom of your soul.
Oh Yeah! Then too there was Sergeant Roosevelt Cummings.

Mine was a black fellow about the size of Sammy Davis Jr, even had a pencil mustache. Nice guy, but everybody jumped when he said jump.
