You don’t get out to Vegas very much do you. The shows are not only watched, but are hard decent seats to.
Las Vegas has three male strip clubs, Men of Sapphire and Kings of Hustler, and HUlkamania. Enter by reservation only because they are a club. Las Vegas also has four male revue shows, including Aussie Heat, Thunder from Down Under, Chippendales, and the new Magic Mike that debuted in May. And they are attended, a lot.
Very seldom does a show in Vegas sell out unless it’s a big name like Bette, Elton, Brittany, or a very few of some of the big names that come through. But the male shows are almost always full and even include an adult show from Cirque, Zoomanity which uses nudity.
There is a market, and it sells.

You’re absolutely correct. They won’t pay to see a drunk fall off a pole. But they will pay plenty too see a professional swing on one.
And what led you to believe women looked at whole package all the time? You have chest women, crotch women, leg women, eye women, butt women........the list is endless. On the same pretense, boobs can just be the start. Men like other parts too. This leads to the thought of different strokes for.......... variety can be the spice of life. But it has to start somewhere and boobs are something men do not have enough of so they look.
That’s just nature. The whole animal world is set up like that. Only man uses it to titillate for money. Animals use it for mating.
