Time Adds Nike Hijab to ’25 Best Inventions of 2017′ List

Time Magazine has added the Nike hijab to their “25 Best Inventions of 2017” list. In their list, Time claimed the $35 sports hijab “empowers Muslim athletes,” and placed the “invention” just below Apple’s iPhone X.

“It’s tough to play sports in a hijab,” claimed Time. “If the material is too heavy, it causes excess sweating. If it’s too light, it might fall off during competition. And if it’s fastened in the wrong way, ‘you can feel like you’re going to choke,’ says Manal Rostom, an Egyptian runner based in the United Arab Emirates and the founder of the ‘Surviving Hijab’ Facebook group, which has nearly half a million members.”

“Nike’s Pro Hijab — which was put into development after executives met with UAE weightlifter Amna Al Haddad in 2016 — aims to shift that status quo,” they continued. “Unlike a traditional hijab, the Pro is made with light, breathable fabric that wicks moisture; athletes who have used it report that it helps manage sweat. But for women like Rostom, who was one of the Pro’s early testers, there’s symbolic weight to Nike’s investment, as well.”

Isn't that just wonderful. I wonder if I will see all of the counterfeit Nike sellers along the beach selling hijabs along with sneakers, shirts and male purses.

Time Lies. Boycott Time Warner.

And tell the muslims that Time declared God dead in the 1960s.

If hijab are so great, why don’t muslim men wear them too?

They do! They just blow up shortly after. So there are not a lot of pictures of the men wearing them. Ain’t diversity great?

Newsweak was sold for $1 (the entire company). TIME may not even be worth that much.

Islam has been such a fountain of human invention that it deserves its own award.

Past winners would have also been clothing: the shoe bomb and underwear bomb.

And the sports hijab - unlike tradition female track and swimming suits - provides so many more places and ways to conceal whatever a dutiful Jihadi needs to conceal.

I really don't have a problem with this "invention"

Anything that helps Islam move from the 6th century into the modern world is OK by me...

Islam will only truly reform when their women start demanding to be treated equality instead of like property.

This is a step in the right direction...a small one

I can imagine quite a few radical Islamist are popping a vein over this.

I hope they stroke out...

Yes, it’s meant to feel like it’s choking you. That’s the point.

Oddly enough, I went to the facebook page of “surviving hijab” and I see that .. “Sorry, this content isn’t available right now
The link you followed may have expired, or the page may only be visible to an audience you’re not in.”

Great, is Facebook now concealing messages that aren’t for the infidel ? As Sharia requires ?

Time is worth a least a dollar if that includes the licensing fees from their Time and Life magazines’ old photos (including frames never published).

Time and Nike should have been banned from decent Americans’ purchasing list for decades.
