Why would a “hacker”, at least one who is trying to steal data while being undetected, start destroying information and “alert” security that someone is hacking their system. That makes no sense.
DB was told to amp up the Russian propaganda, so she made up that part.
Interestingly, if you look at the timeline, most of the “hacking” and publicized emails happened AFTER Crowdsource started “fixing” things.
A real IT crew would switch to the backups and send the “infected” unit to FBI when they asked for it. It’s hard to believe DB’s claim that sending the box to FBI would end the campaign because then they’d have no computer, no database.
Everything they do or say has to do with regaining power.
