Trump hinted that he “might” campaign for Moore. If he does that would clinch a Moore win.

One more thing. Mitch indicated he is out of options to oust Moore. Hey Mitch the old playbook does not work anymore. We are on to your tactics.

So much of all this is about timing. The coordinated attack on Moore came a tad early (maybe in an attempt to increase Jones fund-raising and dampen Moore's, or the vain hope thathe would withdraw).
Now, after the best shot is old news, and new false witnesses are more easily exposed (that rumored #6 who was after Moore married never materialized), they've got nothing left in the chambers. Moore already was tough, but every impression he has had of McConnell and his ilk must be solidified by ten in a way not seen since Clarence Thomas.

I would hazard that the fact that Trump's strongest (initial) statement against Moore was that he believed that if Moore was guilty, he'd do the right thing.
Trump didn't condemn or aggressively back Moore because if things had turned South, it would have been a mess, has already assured Moore of a win - this is just lagniappe - especially since the People kept funding Moore even as the GOPe?RINOs/RNC tried to leave him too broke to fight back.
