Former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton said the 2016 campaign was the first "reality TV campaign," bringing its own unique set of challenges.
"My opponent was the first reality TV candidate, and I was, for better or worse, the candidate of reality," Mrs. Clinton said in an interview that aired Wednesday on "The Hugh Hewitt Show."
She said that running after a two-term president of the same party also brought its challenges in the campaign, adding it was hard to argue she was an agent of change when she supported much of former President Barack Obama's agenda.
"If you are both the candidate defending a lot of the areas of agreement, but also putting forth an agenda for change, which is what I tried to do, it is often difficult to get the second part of that message through," Mrs. Clinton explained.

Donald Trump appeared as host/lead on a ‘reality show’ but he was already a known entity as a businessman for decades who’d been doing campaign studies since the late 80s.
It’s like saying that Paula Abdul is a reality show singer.

Canned one liners and prepared remarks like that showed she wasn’t going on Hugh Hewitt to ‘open up’ and ‘be honest’.
I was gagging during the first 2 minutes of today’s broadcast and I turned it off after the headline remark.
She lost because she’s a horrible, vindictive, negative candidate who is incapable of hiding her fundamental nature despite all manner of artifice intended to do so. She lost to novices in both 2008 and 2016. She does not have what it takes, and is incapable of genuine introspection, improvement or change. She just trots out the same old, same old shopworn and trite 90’s bromides because that’s her reality, she’s stuck there and she can’t get out. She’ll leave the 90’s feet first and room temperature, not a minute before.
The Dems shudder in fear every time she opens her mouth................
This is an hard teaching for you to accept, Hillary, but the reason you lost was because you sucked.
Hillary saying she was too honest is like saying that Bill saying he’s been too faithful.
