Wednesday on ABC’s “Powerhouse Politics” podcast, 2016 Democratic presidential candidate and former Gov. Martin O’Malley (D-MD) said former President Barack Obama’s decision to set up Organizing for America rather than “infusing” his energy into the Democratic Party devastated the party on state and local levels like a “bad forest fire.”
O’Malley said, “To put it kindly, President Obama decided to set up a separate political organization rather than infusing that energy of his candidacy and his amazing and historic victory, rather than infusing that energy into the veins of the Democratic party and making the Democratic party new and more energetic, instead the president and his people decided to set up a separate organization in ‘Organizing for America,’ OFA. I guess the president, perhaps and his people, thought their roles in history was to transform us, allow all of to transcend beyond the need for political parties. ”
He continued, “So when the Republicans and their small group of very wealthy donors, who are not afraid to write big checks, saw what was happening, they immediately filled that vacuum. And in a very methodical way, fielded candidates with a whole lot of money to run for state senate, state legislators, backed candidates for governor. And they were able to wipe us out at the state level and increasingly at the local level. We’ve never gone through a period of time, at least not in modern history were the Democratic party lost so many seats and so many governors offices even as our president was a Democratic. That was a mistake that we made. We have to learn from that mistake. And I believe what is happening now is the party is regenerating itself, almost like after a bad forest...

Do not know much about politics. But it seems to me that almost every democrat president damaged Democrat Party greatly. Clinton and carter did so. Now it’s obama. The cause is in democrats party I believe.
Obama could have done little had Democratic politicians had represented their constituents.
I don’t remember O’Malley criticizing Obama in 2016, when he (O’Malley) ran.

However Obummer narcissistic ways goes way deeper than that, as he's so warped that he'd get off on looking at himself in a mirror!

O’Malley hasn’t learned anything and/or he’s not paying attention. Obama took a look at what the Clintons did/are doing and figured he could do the same thing - corner ‘the money’ for himself, screw the DNC/Dems.
While O’Malley is thinking the Obama forest fire is over, the Clintons have a NEW Super Pac that “act(s) as a parallel structure to Democratic Party committees at the national and state levels while coordinating with them. Gee whiz .... the Dems don’t immediately see an issue with a PAC that’s run by Clintonistas and is a “parallel structure to Democratic Party committees at the national and state levels”? The other ‘magic words’: less regulation.
I read an article within the last couple of days (unfortunately do not have the link) that said this PAC is siphoning money/power AWAY from the DNC and hurting it. An earlier PAC set up (there are two) to purportedly raise money for the Dems, is taking in money, but very little is getting out to anybody else. Since the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) aka the Clinton’s slush fund & pay-to-play scheme had to shut down earlier this year, the Clintons are looking for $$ (as usual) & it appears they have found a way to get it by sucking the life out of the DNC like a couple of vampires. Meanwhile, Hilly is running around hawking her book while acting like she’s the queen of the Dem Party. The Dems/DNC need to shut the Clintons down .... as someone said, they are trying to “nudge” Hilly aside, but IMO it’s going to have to be a ‘hard’ take down to get her (and Bill’s) greedy, grasping fangs off of the DNC’s neck.

O’Malley is correct in a sense. The establishment Democratic Party thought, and most of them still think, that they’ll be part of Obama’s Brave New World. The Black Lives Matter and Sexual Deviants agenda is still polluting our culture. Blacks are over-represented in sports and entertainment, and sexual deviants are over-represented in the entertainment industry. It’s all about a fanciful society in which blacks will provide a better world. (can I say this?.....) When in World History has that ever happened?
