Palestinian leaders use teenagers to commit acts of terror, knowing the Israeli legal system treats children more leniently than adults. Now 10 Congressional Progressive Caucus Democrats are trying to give terrorist leaders another reason for using children to murder more Israeli civilians.
Rep. Betty McCollum, D-Minn., introduced legislation co-sponsored by nine other Democrats to “prevent US tax dollars from supporting the Israeli military’s detention and mistreatment of Palestinian children.”
“This legislation highlights Israel’s system of military detention of Palestinian children and ensures that no American assistance to Israel supports human rights violations …. Congress must not turn a blind eye the unjust mistreatment of Palestinian children living under Israeli occupation.”
For decades, Palestinian political and religious leaders have been stirring young people to wage war Israel. In the intifada Palestinian children as young as 13 stabbed Israelis.
The legislation, titled the Promoting Human Rights by Ending Israeli Military Detention of Palestinian Children Act, fails to acknowledge that Palestinian teens have committed some of the most barbaric attacks against Israelis.
In Halamish, a Palestinian in his late teens stabbed three members of a family as they ate their Sabbath dinner and wounded several other family members.
Six years earlier two Palestinian teens armed with knives broke into the Fogel family home in Itamar as they slept on Friday night. The “children” butchered the mother, father and three of their children – including a 3-month-old baby.
In a desperate effort to justify her proposed legislation, Rep. McCollum argued that “peace can only be achieved by respecting human rights, especially the rights of children.”
Yet McCollum refuses to condemn Palestinians who perpetrate acts of child abuse by recruiting children to commit terrorist attacks on Jews.

As I noted in the other thread, different article. Long a cause for the radical left worldwide, it's becoming a cause for the Democrat party. Were we to apply the test of consistence to Democrats, are there any other nations where minors are arrested we'd have to conclude the bill is antisemitic. In the leftist global tradition. There are other countries that arrest children, there are countries that kill children without a thought. Do Democrats criticize them? The closest they come, similar to their criticism of Israel, is criticism of the USA. BLM and the like.
Why limit their concerns to children. After all they're mostly killing Jews, which isn't a concern. Rasmea Odea was only 21 when she killed 21-year-old Leon Kanner of Netanya and 22-year-old Eddie Joffe of Tel Aviv. And she immigrated to the US where she became a liberal hero, organizing the A Day Without Women protest just this year. A prominent US feminist.And the rude Trump administration deported her.
And Bashar Masalha, only 21 when he stabbed West Point grad Taylor Force, an Afghan and Iraq vet. A mile from where Joe Biden was having dinner. BDS might be right, American tourists shouldn't visit Israel. And the rude police in Israel, who leftists claim train American police to kill blacks, shot him. He stabbed 11 others, including two Arabs and a pregnant women. He could have stabbed more, were it not for the rude Israeli police.
Liberals have compassion, don't you know, for murderers.
