You make a valid point, but let’s remember that he changed his opinion on Obamacare in the middle of writing the case.....that’s borderline surreal. He was constructing the case against Obamacare, and then he did a 180. Who does such a thing at that point in the process ? Can’t blame people for viewing that action with suspicion.

His shift may have something to do with the Dilantin he takes. If one has been taking that stuff for a few years one loses ones will power. It becomes very difficult or impossible to resist an insistent demander. I know that first hand having taken it for 16 years before a fortunate mishap got me off it for a month and I got some lost mental function back, enough to quit taking the stuff. I found out then that my seizures had stopped some time in that period. It took several years more to slowly return to something like normal.

anybody who decides as a young kid that he wants to be a supreme court justice and lives his entire life toward that end (including leaving a scant paper trail) is willing to do anything to achieve that goal.
the guy is weird—his wife, kids and even his dog all have names that start with a “j”. the family’s outfits always matched and looked picture-perfect even before he was nominated.
I don’t believe he is being blackmailed today because his kids are sixteen years old but at the time of the ruling for Obama care they were about nine years old and Roberts and his wife had no case law on there side along with a treaty with Ireland that would of returned the kids with in months of a request by Ireland to individuals that only wanted the kids as a way of punishing Roberts for not ruling for Obama’s health bill. as angry ae I am over this being black mailed.
If I was in his shoes I might of done what he did. when you adopt a child they are your kids.

How old are his kids? Must be close to 18 now. Maybe there is another reason for his switch, if it was a switch at all. The Bush family has been an Oligarch family since Prescott at Yale and Skull&Bones in 1918.
