R&B and Hip Hop, means a lot of auto-tune microphones and lip-synching.
“R&B and Hip Hop, means a lot of auto-tune microphones and lip-synching”
Please explain as I know little about how music is performed these days. Also, what’s the purpose of the earpieces that the performers use?
What does an autotune microphone enhance, or disguise?
Same with "southern pop".
Everybody remembers "southern rock" from the 70's. Bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Allman Brothers, Marshall Tucker Band, etc... These were all rock bands who sang with a southern accent and "countried up" classic rock music.
The music they play on "country music" stations is really just "southern pop". It is just pop music sung with a southern accent and "countried up" a little bit to make it sound different.
While I was a huge fan of "southern rock" because I was also a fan of classic rock music, I'm not a fan of "southern pop" because I don't like regular pop music.
