I consider Cromwell the first Republican and one of history’s greatest heroes. Despite all the revisionist history that tries to paint him as villain. Trying to find an unbiased account of him is near impossible.

These were crucial pivot points to the genesis of the birth of the United States, and the Constitutional liberty which has given us everything.
Even while again divisive, another decisive and huge pivot point, which I believe led directly to the formation of Parliamentary Government was when Martin Luther nailed his 95 Thesis to the door in Wittenberg.

Of course this makes sense, in that Cromwell stood for representative government, what was right, what was moral, what was just, and for individual responsibility and the subsequent sum of liberty.
