There are some awfully high paid GS-13s wherever you are. Around here, they do not get that much.

I'm a GS-13 for DoD. I looked at my leave and earnings statement, even with my overseas housing, i don't come close to $150K. For this year, a GS-13, Step 10 in Washington makes $123,234 with locality pay.

I grew up in a military family, and was taught to call all men “Sir” and all women above the age of 17 as “Ma’am”, and my parents were quite rigid on that.

My parents were from the North and I live in the North, so it is a bit like a fish out of water up here, but...I am not changing now...:)
