Buffoon Corker fell on his sword. Like anybody cares what a dead ender like him does once the bill is guaranteed passage.

If my wife and I, with two kids are at $120k, will we be considered rich..and taxed even more than I am now? Good god, it doesn’t feel like wealth! I have to study this deal.

Schumer put forth a motion to floor the vote until Monday, which was overruled. Then sent out a tweet complaining the Reps wouldn’t allow them to participate.

Congrats to the Senate on passing this step, and Flake can go pound sand.

If the Repubs who ‘control’ the Congress can BARELY PASS A TAX CUT, we’re in for a bumpy 3 more years.

I hope the House just passes the Senate version on Monday.
Then it will go directly to the President’s desk. Otherwise it has to be voted on all over again.

The trigger can stay. The supreme court ruled it unconstitutional in the Gramm Ruddman Hollings automatic trigger bill back in 1986. Let democrats fight for it to stay in 2020 in a high profile election year argument before the USSC. The USSC does not like to reverse it’s own rulings.

A reminder of what DJT posted 20 hours ago:

Republicans Senators are working hard to pass the biggest Tax Cuts in the history of our Country. The Bill is getting better and better. This is a once in a generation chance. Obstructionist Dems trying to block because they think it is too good and will not be given the credit!

Congratulations, Mr. President!

This is the best that Donald J. Trump can do with the clowns in Congress.

We need a better tax and spending policy than this but I say its not Trump’s fault as much as its the GOP’s.

God Bless President Trump and God .... the Republicans in the House and Senate.

Corker, only R nay.

Collins put in an amendment to partially keep the SALT deduction, finally did something right.

This “tax reform” legislation is almost as pathetic as the “Obamacare repeal” legislation that failed earlier this year. You remember that don’t you? The “repeal” that had to come before “tax reform” could even be considered. They were lying then, and lying now. This is deductible reform. Not tax reform.

Nobody ran on this crap sandwich. They ran, and we voted for, full Obamacare repeal and across the board tax rate cuts.

All this hoopla about tax reform is a load of bs. They didn’t cut Fedzilla’s pay by one red cent. Until they do, someone will be feeding that gluttonous beast.

Chuck Schumer ‏Verified account @SenSchumer 17h17 hours ago In my long career in politics, I have not seen a more regressive piece of legislation, so devoid of a rationale, so ill-suited for the condition of the country, so removed from the reality of what the American people need.

Since When have you care about what the American people need?
