I think I'll take a pass on these calculators. Both sites contain web trackers and other things that do not need to know my income.

According to the calculator, House plan I save $3400. Senate plan $2600.

Interesting. That version takes which into account which state you live in. I still save taxes but on this calculator I save more with the House version than the Senate version. That result is reversed on the calculator posted in this article.

I'm not sure I like either calculator at all. I want to see what the tax forms themselves will look like before rendering a decision either way.

A question, though. When will all this take effect? Next year, the year after?

We were going to save 25%, but this 12/2 update shows we will now save only 20%.

Still, that’s thousands of dollars.

That one is better since it also gives current taxes to contrast with the bills. We would get at least $100/month advantage.

I will save $2800 with the senate plan and $4300 with the House plan. I’ll save a lot more in taxes next year because I’m moving out of California.

The one displayed in the article doesn’t show the $8,300 exemption. Just the standard deduction. ???
