Damn! I've been listening to his Met performances for years on Sirius radio. I guess I'm not shocked but here's another example of how perversity has completely permeated our entertainment, media and political institutions. Maybe that's why they are all so closely entwined and united against President Trump (who wants to clean this whole mess up).

This student must not have had a tight relationship with his parents. Why didn’t he discuss this with them, assuming he didn’t. My parents would have sized up the situation instantly, and insisted any such ‘gifts’ be returned immediately. No one gives away over $50K in ‘presents’ without expecting something in return.

This is the oldest story in the world. 30 years ago there were rumors he actually killed a teen.

How many of our “for the arts” tax dollars went to pay for little dalliances?

The 15 year old kid couldn’t keep this from happening? Not passing judgement but if anyone tried that with me at that age, stomping his nuts into the ground would have just been for starters.

Most homosexuals were sexually abused as children.

They want to normalize their behavior to attain easier access to MOLEST YOUR CHILDREN.

On page 37, the other relevant result relates to men.

The 13th research question addressed, of homosexual men who have been molested, what percentage were molested before self-identification as homosexual men, and what percentage were molested after self-identification as homosexual?

Of homosexual men who were molested, 68% were molested before self-identification as homosexual, and 32% were molested after self-identification as homosexual.

>https://stream.org/yes-childhood-sexual-abuse-often-contribute-homosexuality/?utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium=Newsfeed&utm_term=original+content&utm_content=childsexualabusehomosexuality<

...it is well-known that men who were abused as children are much more likely than the average population to abuse other children as adults. As summarized in a 2001 article in the British Journal of Psychology:

Among 747 males the risk of being a perpetrator was positively correlated with reported sexual abuse victim experiences … A high percentage of male subjects abused in childhood by a female relative became perpetrators. Having been a victim was a strong predictor of becoming a perpetrator, as was an index of parental loss in childhood.

I've been waiting for this.

Decades ago, I was involved in rehearsals for a summer opera concert where a consultant from the Met was present to assist. She mentioned that there was a line item in the Met's budget for "getting Jimmy out of trouble."

In New York's high society, Jimmy's predilections were well known, but he was such a force in the New York music scene that people were willing to overlook his activities.

In recent years, the Met board asked Jimmy to marry so that the stories could be squelched, but he opted not to do so. Now it all comes out.

Not a surprise, since he has been very discreet but there have still been rumors. He was sort of a Michael Jackson type, I think - a person with a lot of negative perceptions of himself as physically unattractive (objectively speaking, neither of them was attractive to either men or women) who begins by promoting and encouraging a young person and then at some point ends up intimidating and making a sexual move on them.

Very sad end to a great career. And of course, the Met board knew about it, also sad because the Met doesn’t have a lot of money to throw around. The productions are very lavish, prices are very high, but they need to keep the donor stream coming.

I find this terribly shocking and very sad. James Levine is a brilliant conductor. I knew him years ago when he was the conductor of the Chicago Symphony orchestra Ravinia festival. I used to love watching him and the CSO rehearse. Very sad to hear about this.

From a commenter on Twitter who apparently has close connections to the MET:

“One of the top music execs in the country told me 20 years ago when I asked “it’s all true, there have been millions paid in settlements.” I believed him. Levine has led an extremely sordid life that would have landed anyone else in prison long ago.”

What’s new, another queer rapes a little boy and if he finds the right judge he may be released on a 10k bail. Once again, the rest of the queer lifestyle shines from the closet.

If you will remember way back, about thirty years ago there was a scandal at the Met in which a female violinist was murdered, and a man’s semen was found in an ashtray. The story said there was more, then the story died.

I heard rumors of this on a Gustav Mahler board a few years ago. At the time, I thought it was just malicious gossip. Guess it wasn’t. Too bad. I have a lot of his recordings. They’ll never sound the same now.
