"I think there still remains some chance," Warner replied. "And I was saying, Friday was my single worst day as a U.S. senator."
Warner emphasized that he was disappointed because he wanted to be a part of a bipartisan effort on tax reform since he realizes there needs to be changes to corporate rates to bring back American profits.
He explained, however, that the process of seeing the tax bill pass both the House and Senate "just plain stunk."

I live in California. Perhaps I can help you with that question.
I have a feeling he’s going to have many “worser” days than Friday during the next seven years.
And it’s going to be “funner” for us to watch him whine.
His worst day? More to come.

The Old Dominion has vanished. Sadly, it is now the New Democratic Peoples’ Republic of Suburban DC.
Progressive tears are so yummy when they lose.
Warner is part of the problem, not part of the solution. Another carpetbagger ranging the hills of Virginny.
Then quit, loser.
... So the process stunk when compared with the RATS passing the Obamacare abomination...
The rules are ALWAYS different for Democrats. No matter what the issue is.
He must be up for reelection. Sorry constituents, I really really really wanted to vote for tax reform, but I just couldn’t vote for THIS tax reform.
Reminds me of Bill Clinton’s promise to deliver the largest middle class tax cut ever if we elected him. He wasn’t even inaugurated when in December 1992 he said he would not be able to deliver on that promise.
I wonder if Warner is really that stupid or afraid of incoming DNC campaign dollars drying up. How much extortion is being perpetuated by the DNC. Its hard for me to rationalize that people in office are this stupid.
Warner is a Democrat, a left wing radical, Ameritrash
I wouldn’t call the present tax bill a reform. It might be a start but needs a lot more work. Ideally the best reform is to eliminate the IRS with all tax revenue collected at point of sale and a flat income tax for every dollar earned by everyone taken out each payday. As far as dividends, the banks, etc., should deduct the taxes automatically. If the amount collected isn’t enough, cut federal spending!
Yes, those other states do have some irritating pairs, but I think there is a special creepiness about Warner and Kaine. Maybe I used the wrong adjective.

Say, Senator (I use the term loosely), doncha think there might be better ways to do that than go on national TV every other night and throw stink bombs at the President? The president, you know, the guy that actually has to sign the bill before it can become law?
These are the sour grapes you would be squashing in front of the press after your efforts as a party were to contribute nothing and obstruct everything, and some of your efforts to get inside discussions so you could do better obstruction were foiled.
Tim Caine is particularly strange.
