I wouldn’t be so sure. An apartment my folks rented in 1951 still looks pretty much the same as when I went to Kindergarten across the street. If you remember the address you can look it up on Google.

Even more amazing (to me) the house my mom grew up in in NJ (1922) still looks the same as when she was a girl.
