Before obummer, the Border Patrol “removed” (not deported) illegal aliens.
ICE “deports” illegal aliens.
obummer added those numbers together and bragged about how much more were being deported under obummer.
This was false and misleading.
Now that Trump is back, the split in numbers between deportations and removals are now back. . .meaning Border Patrol no longer “deports,” and its numbers are back to being counted as “removals.”
ICE does “deportations” without counting Border Patrol numbers.
