Trump to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital, forge ahead with moving US Embassy

President Trump on Wednesday will order the State Department to begin moving the U.S. Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv, senior administration officials said, a move that fulfills a campaign promise made to religious conservatives but one that could inflame tensions across the Middle East.

In his announcement, Trump will say that the U.S. government recognizes Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. One official described it as an "honest" acknowledgement of a "seven-decade old fact."

“While President Trump recognizes that the status of Jerusalem is a highly sensitive issue, he does not think it will be resolved by ignoring the simple truth that Jerusalem is home to Israel’s legislature, its Supreme Court, the prime minister and is such the capital of Israel,” one official said.

The U.S. would be the first country to move its embassy to Jerusalem, which is claimed by both Israelis and Palestinians. Other countries who have diplomatic relations with Israel keep their embassies in Tel Aviv.

[[I like it for multiple reasons.

One big one is that it pisses off the libtard socialist globalists.]]

Anything that ticks them off is good. Hopefully the next move is to kick a bunch of them out (hope he makes the UN move somewhere else)

I have been praying for this for over 35 YEARS.

It will certainly ruffle some feathers, but it’s the right thing to do.

This is what a president looks like! Heck we’ve even got our own hats. Might be time for a march. Not sure if our side knows how to do those. But we’ve got hats. Go Trump go

Some tensions will be inflamed sort term but it will only be blaming the move for what has already been happening and will keep on happening. It just provides a new sack of complaints, or rather puts some different content in the old sack.

So, is it official yet? I think Trump’s the most Conservative president in history.

Trump keeps on surprising people by actually keeping his promises. Another thing he said that will, I suspect, turn out to be a promise that will ultimately be kept was when he told Mrs Bill that if her were president she would be in jail. It will take a while and he has to induce the Clinton allies to make the case to do it. That part is happening bit by bit.

I had to see an experience a crowd almost identical to this, while walking through the ASU Tempe campus not long ago.

The Palestinkians and their American left & Eurotrash enablers blowing gaskets about the move threatening the "peace process" cracks me the heck up. How many decades has this "process" been dragging along now - six or seven? If that is what they call peace, would hate to see what they consider as war. Maybe they go by the Orwellian definition "War is Peace".

to your door to serenade you with the mellow sounds of the season, don't they?

Its a dangerous neighborhood.

We should insist on a 100 mile (no fly) kill zone from our new US Embassy, which we could then use to justify bulldozing ALL anti-American organizations and addresses! hehehe...

Along the perimeter, we could put up bright signs in regional languages, warning of armed herds of suicidal anti human feral hogs, with aids!

Hey, the Russians have a 100 mile no fly zone centered on the Russian Naval Base at Tartus, Syria!

Actually, we will probably need a very significant “kill zone”.
