Except they may not want him to do this right now. That is the reason for the long wait. It’s a way of doing it but not doing it, to try to make everybody happy (except the “Palestinians,” who would be unhappy with the mere recognition that Jerusalem is the capital).
I’ll take it! It really benefits the whole region, and the You’re-a-peon-s too. That’s what they’re really afraid of. They’d rather kick the can of the piece process down the road for ever and ever amen. It’s a lot easier than real change for the better.
