10. None of the stories pause to ask why the Inspector General have sought Strzok’s text messages in the first place. What is going on here? As the Times notes, FBI regulations allow an agent to express his opinions “as an individual privately and publicly on political subjects and candidates.”
11. A law enforcement source writes to observe that the Inspector General would not be able to access the private text message communications of an FBI official as senior and prominent as Strzok unless he had good cause to do so. What was this cause?
12. He adds: “Reviewing an agent’s private text messages is not an investigative action which is entered into lightly unless the situation is serious. I cannot think of a situation where you would find the IG’s office looking at your private text messages unless you, or someone you were communicating with, is in big, big trouble. There is something very, very shady going on here with the IG’s investigation of Strzok….why the IG was investigating him in the first place is much more interesting.”

So, what did Strzok really do to get busted down so hard, and then have Mueller and the FBI hide his "reassignment" for months, even in the face of Congressional subpoenas?

That’s what I’ve been wondering...how is it that anyone saw his text messages other than the recipient with whom he was involved in a secret relationship?
I could be the deep state wants him as the fall guy. Do not think that will work, especially if Strozk turns. Why are we hearing about him so much now when this was all found out at the beginning of the summer.....what has been going on all that time? What has he been spilling? Public is being prepared.

The theory on twitter is Flynn’s leak killers which were given clearance for that type of intel before he was fired then sent out to the different agencies to track down the leaks. Whether true or not, who knows ,but Sessions has been warning from the very beginning they were going after the leakers in the gov. Supposedly 27 have been found in the FBI alone.
Good article/questions .... what we’ve seen so far with the Strzok situation is the tip of the iceberg, IMO.
The reports I've seen continue to insist that the IG investigation notified Mueller about the “text messages.”
I suspect that these so-called “anti-Trump” messages may involve things like “Trump is so bad that we need to forge evidence to get him.”
Isn’t he “going steady” with another agent ?
Bigger question to the wimps of the GOP, to Sessions, and the Congressional committee. Why will Mueller personally not be cited for contempt and as well obstructing justice?

I want to know why Cheryl Mills and Huma Abedin were not placed under oath when they gave their account to Strozk.
I want to know why Strozk was able to degrade the evaluation of Clinton’s conduct from “grossly negligent” to “careless”.
I want to know why Strozk’s wife was appointed to a $ 225,000 job at the SEC in late October 2016 while he was reviewing Hillary’s emails on Weiner’s server.
I want to know why Strozk ended up interviewing Flynn for the questions for which Flynn has been indicted, where his notes are of that interview and whether they conform to the accounts of his fellow FBI agent who was present for the FBI interview of Flynn.
I want to know WHY Strozk was fired by Mueller.
I want to know why Mueller ignored the congressional subpoena for information on Strozk for three months, still hasn’t responded to it and yet has time to tell the press what he wants about it last Friday nite.
I want to know why Strozk is still on the FBI payroll.
I want to know why his wife, if she is a political employee, still holds her position.
I want to know why Lisa Page, who supposedly was involved with Strozk, was on Mueller’s staff of 12 lunatic Hillary supporters, why she was transferred and why she is still employed by the FBI as an attorney.

This is not true. FBI and DOJ regulations prevent high level managers from engaging in political issues and even low level agents are similarly barred if they are working in relevant areas with conflicts of interest

I can only assume that Strzok and Page were being investigated for having leaked details of the Trump investigation to the media...the blowback on Comey and Mueller is yuge.
