This makes me think he really wasn’t that well liked within the dem. party inside the senate or they are pretty sure that they will hold on to the seat.

They’ve had no moral revelation. They assessed the situation and realized this was a perfect opportunity to clean out the old males and resposition for the next election. They will create a fresh, new party comprised of minority female whackos.

They will run Kamala Harris or Michelle Obama (who is currently polling # 1 favorite) for PRESDIENT in 2020.

Ellison is certainly beatable statewide, but I doubt Dayton would be dumb enough to name Ellison.

Mostly likely he will try to find the Minnesota equivalent of Fauxahontas and Tammy Baldwin, some screechy marxist loon that the "progressive" RATS will love.

At this point, I'm almost tempted to call Franken with a "stay the course" message and urge him to buck the RAT establishment until he's dragged kicking and screaming from his Senate seat... but the thought of encouraging Franken to keep his stolen senate seat and telling what a great job he's done is nauseating.

“...some screechy marxist loon...”

Haha, damn, Billy, you just described 98% of the Democrat party in one tidy li’l phrase.

Spot-On!!!

Well, he stole the election in the first place, so why would he want to give it up?

Little birds are saying it will be Lt Governor Tina Smith.

Franken’s staff tweets “Senator Franken is talking with his family at this time and plans to make an announcement in D.C. tomorrow. Any reports of a final decision are inaccurate.”

Dems realized too late they were kneecapping their little pajama boy in Alabama with their hypocrisy and brought out the long knives for Conyers and Franken.

We need a top tier candidate to run. Pawlenty? We can’t let this opportunity pass.

Senator Smalley is taking one for the team. Once Roy Moore is elected, they will call on him to resign. When he doesnt, Democrats will claim the high moral ground just in time for the 2018 elections.

I saw that mentioned just a little while ago on Gunzie’s feed. It’s a bit of a risk given that Smith has never run an independent campaign (unlike the other women officeholders in MN).

I’m not a fan of Pawlenty’s, but he’d be a credible candidate in a 2018 special.

There will be more scandals from the Democrats between now and the next election. If the party of utter depravity and no moral standards tries to hilariously run as the party of virtue, it will backfire. Same thing happened to the GOP in the time leading up to the Clintoon impeachment in 1998, they ended up losing seats.

I would be a bit surprised if Franken throws in the towel. IMO his ego is too inflated for him to do it. But if he does, watch the Dems and RINOs renew their calls have Judge Roy Moore drop out of the AL Senate race, when they THINK they have the moral high ground. Though it would be an insanely foolish move on their part, given the questionable credibility of those who made the outrageous claims and the dubious evidence. Let’s get real, who signs a HS yearbook in such a manner, was that Allred’s best shot?

They are dropping like flies.

LOL!! No kidding. talk about Scheudenfreude

Apologize for spelling mistakes.

My head is in a weird place; was raped last weekend and I have to go through a lineup; the police called me tonight to ask me when it would be convenient for me.

NEVER!

But I am old, 55 with some gray hairs. I have to pursue this. I had lt come out of a hospital with a concussion, and he knew that...What would he do with a young hottie coming out of a bar

It was a taxi driver; told my husband to go home and get some sleep

Can not sleep well

Might as well watch Taxi Driver...

Are you talking to me? LOL

Why should he resign? The gig is up, sure, but he’s got the rest of this term to ride things out. Senators have the ability to take a longer view of things, unlike Representative Conyers.

Jill Stein as his running mate?

At 67, Jill's lacking in gropability, but the pair would make a fine 2020 bumper sticker for the Jackass Party.

I believe I saw something to the effect that an organized group of Democrats with Muslim members wants him to resign so that the Muslim (Ellison?) who wanted to lead the Democratic National Comm. could take his place. Now that would be an big improvement. /sarc.

If he and other Dems are forced out by public pressure, it will be that much easier for Dems to say that Judge Moore should go if he gets elected. Also, who knows what nasty surprises are about to be sprung on GOP members?

I think it has been clarified that he did not actually fondle the breasts, but had them poised above the breasts for the photo. He also has admitted to the unwanted tongue kiss.
