Shirer’s work covers the nuts an bolts of the Nazi rise, but not the why - for that read “The Psychology of Mass Fascism” by Wilhelm Reich. This work seem a particularly apt read given today’s youth highly favoring socialism and seemingly, in particular, a form of Nazism.
I also recommend The True Believer by Eric Hoffer.
And another interesting parallel between today’s leftists and yesterday’s Nazis is that “Caucasians are the new Jews!”
The Leftist/Collectivist consistently push for STATE-SANCTIONED DISCRIMINATION against Caucasians and they resent the success of Caucasians.
True, there are no Nazi gas chambers (yet), but the vitriol from the left against Caucasians, especially on college campuses - is scary.
