This is a very interesting article but there is one main difference between the nazis and the current crop of leftists. Nazis were fiercely nationalistic, today’s left is fiercely anti-nationalistic. The nazis loved the fatherland, the American left HATES America.

Which difference is precisely why it’s much more accurate to describe leftists (Democrats) as communists.
Good point, but The left are nationalistic in their own way, eg the black panther leftists are nationalistic on behalf of blacks.
they are also nationalistic about any country opposed to the US, eg Cuba
