that’s a collateral and the reason why it wasn’t that much an altruistic gesture.

News for those who don’t think oil is overpriced.

He didn’t stumble on that money buried in a pirate chest at an oasis.

Even at $450 million, it is a good investment and could turn a nice profit when resold.

Mystery over Christ’s orb in $100m Leonardo da Vinci painting

Then CINC and Salman being photographed with that orb. Maybe the Saudis knew of the painting and waited for auction, knowing they could outbid anybody. I really do expect it to be gifted to Western Christian allies of the House of Saud eventually.

I pray that God smites every single person involved in the 9/11 attacks on our country, specifically the Saudis who approved and bankrolled it.

They were never held to justice.

The Bush family saw to that.

That article you linked to is very interesting.

$450 million is a lot of dough for a painting whose authenticity is at all in question.

Considering that the Saudis are usually shrewd investors and this acquisition comes at a time of financial strain for the KSA, not to mention one of upheaval, I would think the purchaser has gone to great extremes to have the painting examined.

Great mystery here.

Maybe the buyer ‘had’ to buy it and fork it over to the House of Saud or risk an no-expense-paid vacation atop the Ritz-Carlton.

“..... obviously a shrewd businessman that realized the painting is actually priceless and with time can double his money”......

Assuming both HE and the painting survive.

Not under current leadership. We have a Pope Emeritus and an Anti-Pope but no working Vicar for Christ. May He send us one, soon.

It would not surprise me in the least if this interest extended right into the Saudi royal family.

Wouldn't it be something if Saudi Arabia turned Christians? They could team with Israel to eradicate violent or subversive muslims in their respective countries and show the rest of the world what to do.

Far fetched I know, but Islam is incompatible with western civilization and other religions. Who knows this better than a convert from Islam or someone who knows fear in their nations capital?

If the west is to survive, they need to accept the facts. Once a country is 50% muslim, it quickly eradicates the other political, judicial, and religious ideas. For a western country to survive, it must stop mass importation of Islam. This is simple truth.

From the pit of hell came the idea that peaceful protesters should be treated with kid gloves. Violence in the streets and violence in entire communities should not be tolerated. There is coming a time when the violence will be too great. By then, entire countries will fall to Islam. Muslims all over the world will rejoice.

The west can accept Islam, but Islam can not accept the west. Anywhere they meet, the conflict exists. I am tired of the conflict. I know we can not fix all violence or eradicate all evil in our fallen world, but this worldwide movement masking as a religion is cancerous.

If an Islamic country turns Christian, they would eventually need to export a hoard of muslims from their country because the danger and threat would be too great.

I'm hoping I live to see Israel fully reclaim their capital by cleaning up East Jerusalem and expelling violent subversives.

Go Trump! His success are many and he is changing the culture and accepted norms. When Israel bulldozes entire neighborhoods, some will complain about the tragedy but other will simply accept that adults need not tolerate violent or childish behavior.

Or an extremely public signal that Islam is ready to live peacefully with people of the Book. At least, the Sunni’s might be.
