On Wednesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “The Lead,” Mazie Hirono (D-HI), who called for Senator Al Franken (D-MN) to resign, stated she would “love it” if President Trump and Alabama Republican Senate nominee Roy Moore stepped down.
Hirono said, “I would love it if both of them stepped aside. Because I have said publicly that President Trump has admitted to being a sexual predator. And as for Roy Moore, the credible allegations of him being a child molester basically should cause both of them to look at themselves and step down. I would love it. But at the same time, you know –, and looking forward, where are the Republican voices? Where is their outrage? In fact, on the opposite end, they’re coming forward to support Roy Moore. How’s that for totally inappropriate positions?”

If there’s precedent of tossing out Senators based on _alleged_ improprieties, you can be sure the completion of tossing such Senators will culminate in a whole lot of _alleged_ improprieties against Trump accompanied by “well, Democrats have the ethics to resign in such cases, no you have to as well”.
Remember, Trump spent non-trivial time in the morally-debatable social fringe of world-class sensuality/sexuality (Miss USA, Playboy), high testosterone (WWF), and high money (globetrotting billionaire, luxury resorts) - all areas where “inappropriate touching” aka “sexual assault” (in an extremely strained modern legal definition) was common, natural, expected, excused, legal, & encouraged. I’m not excusing/apologizing such behavior, just noting that it’s very reasonable to presume Trump _did_ do such things at least a few times and on a very minimal level, making it very easy to get people to make decades-old accusations which were only construed as heinous career-destroying acts in the last few weeks. Trump very well may not have, but I’d not be surprised if he did, and the Left is apparently banking on public perception that he has.

The Dems think Franken is expendable, he should take a bullet for the team so they can once again call out Pres Trump and Judge Moore on their apparent sexual misconduct. Based on what? Trump being caught on camera talking locker room trash about grabbing you-know-whats? Which BTW, Trump immediately admitted and owned up to it. Accusations of Moore’s inappropriate behavior from witnesses who are “credibility challenged”? And who signs a HS yearbook that way? Was that Allred’s best shot? Still waiting for her to submit that signature for forensic analysis. I say, let the Dems throw the a**hole under the bus, though I wouldn’t be surprised if he refuses to resign. I’m amazed there’s enough room in the Senate to contain his ego. Then let them try to take the moral high ground. It’ll only make them look even more ridiculous.
Many of the accused probably did nothing wrong considering that 40 years ago we were still under the effects of the "free love" generation.
However feminazis now see themselves in the power seat of the swamp and they want to destroy all men using any mechanism possible.
One exception is franken who was stupid enough to have pictures taken of his abuses.

Trump and Moore are innocent of the baseless charges being thrown at them.
Franken is not only guilty, but he is guilty of MANY instances over a long period of time. It is a pattern of chronic behavior with WITNESSES and PHOTOS. The differences are huge.
Don’t try to lump baseless contrived accusations (by political opponents and operatives) against Trump and Moore with proven accusations against Franken.

Problem is most people won’t squint at the details of the accusations. A few Frankenphotos are enough to set the meme that accusations => guilt; knock down a few Senators with that and there’s momentum to keep the pogrom going toward its intended (and likely innocent) target.
Trump said “women will LET you touch them”. This is called “consent”. Anyone who played in a decent rock band during the 80’s can confirm this.
When they get done, anyone who ever looked at a member of the opposite sex or laughed at a risque joke will be labeled “sexual predators”.....gonna cause a few quandaries......

That one is a different case not 40 years ago obviously. But Moore’s accusers, in particular, do fit the profile I specified.

Trump was describing what powerful men are capable of doing with women. Not suggesting directly he’s done it. He might as well have been describing Harvey Weinstein or any of the other lefty pervs in Washington or Hollywood.
