So Franken doesn’t resign - so what? Anyone Minnesota appoints or elects in his place would be as stupid or even worse. Better the enemy you know (and can beat on with the Leeann Tweeden pic anytime you want).

We all know that the real target is not Roy Moore - it’s President Trump. They keep bringing up the Access Hollywood tape like it’s a semen stained dress or something - in fact, it’s prompted male braggadocio with no evidence of an actual act, by a guy who at the time had no reason to clam up. Just like Judge Moore - lots of unsubstantiated claims, no actual evidence. The only actual evidence for Judge Moore is that he apparently liked to date high school chicks when he was in his thirties, which is a bit weird but certainly was not a crime at the time.

The rats and the media (yeah, I know - same thing) think that throwing Franken under the bus gives them some sort of moral high ground over Moore and Trump, so don’t see what they gain by letting him stay. They certainly won’t have any mercy on him - party uber alles with these jerks. And Judge Moore and President Trump have the advantage of no evidence of guilt, despite what the media manufactures out of whole cloth.

Conyers is rapidly disappearing down the media memory hole, but he’s practically a vegetable and was being propped up and fed lines anyway so they need Franken’s resignation to maintain the appearance of integrity. My guess is that Franken will eventually resign, then suddenly receive a multimillion dollar offer to host a show on CNN or PMSNBC, and we will end up paying his salary through some DNC money laundering scheme.

It’s a political tactic/ploy.

Franken is going to be gone either way.

Instead of resigning, he/they wait until Judge Moore is elected.

The House/Senate has a process for Expulsion and Franken will be Expelled by the Dems and Republicans.

Then, they will call for the Expulsion of Moore under the same “Moral equivalence”.

This way they get the most mileage out of Franken’s departure.

FYI It’s still legal. Sixteen is the age of consent in Alabama, and why shouldn’t it be?
