depends what you are believing in -if believing in yourself (mind or personal ability) or some person, company or such then I get your little funny.
If believing in the things of God then yes, believing is seeing, because He opens your eyes and life to things you did not believe possible!
If we’re going to get a little off topic let me share this partial and uncompleted story with you.
I’ve only told this to a handful of people in my whole life, so let’s keep this between us, eh?
I’m named after the doubting apostle. Believing for me came from Seeing.
My search for the truth unhindered by preconceptions was rewarded in 1971
by the totally unexpected revealing/uncovering of Truth.
The Creator/God/Reality/Truth/Love/Presence/Being/Reason encompassing everything,
within all things and the source of everything
and the Utter Joy that came from my being subsumed in this Revelation.
Changed my life, is still changing my life.
I remain human, have an ego and a human wilfulness
but that long ago experience formed a boundary
that keeps me from straying too far, draws me, the prodigal son, back
to an embrace ever more close and deep.
I have no problem saying thank you to ‘God’ for revealing ‘His’ presence to me.
