Years ago I saw an article (NOT on cnn, so it might have been true) that I66 inside the beltway cost $11 Million per mile to build. Probably $20 Million in today’s dollars.

Correction: according to http://www.usinflationcalculator.com/

it would be $28 Million per mile in 2017 dollars! Yikes!
