A lot of pot comes laced with other drugs these days.
It is also far more potent than it was in the 1960s/70s which makes its effects more pronounced and different.
Maybe you have read the articles this past week about the marijuana vomiting syndrome now hitting chronic users of marijuana?
Never heard anything like that back in my youth and I knew plenty of daily users.

And please don't conflate bath salts (AKA "artificial pot") with pot. It is not in any way related.
