He’s 83.5 years old.

No fool like an old fool.

Shelby needs to remember that the people who vote for Moore....also voted for him.

We'll see what happens next time.

Shelby used to be a Democrat, until the 1994 “Republican Revolution”. He’s a RINO poster child.

Last election, I voted for his opponent, despite the fact that I knew nothing about his opponent. I was just voting against Shelby. And I will do it again the next time the weasel is up for re-election.

He should have retired years ago. He is an absolute disgrace and embarrassment.

“Shelby used to be a Democrat, until the 1994 “Republican Revolution”. He’s a RINO poster child.”

This is something that goes on here far too often, and it’s seems to be a whole lot more prevalent in the Southern States ( including Texas). But it really goes along with the Uniparty theme. Switch parties so you can stay in office, and not because you’ve had some sort of sea change in your politics.

“Alabama Republican Sen. Richard Shelby says he wants a Republican to win the state’s special election Tuesday, but did not vote for GOP candidate Roy Moore and hopes a write-in candidate will be victorious.”

I’ll give till it hurts to support a conservative candidate who will run against this turkey Shelby.

He also added that he has no reason not to believe that egregious allegations of sexual misconduct against Moore dating 40 years ago.

And what reason do you have to not believe Roy Moore who denies the allegations?

shelby is such a loser that he self-loathes and, then, projects his vitriol. It must be difficult when you are aware that your life is worthless.

Shelby came up in the days of white shoe chamber of commerce boys schmoozing over cocktails at the country club. They dividied up the spoils of poliltics among themselves. When the political winds changed, they changed their "D" to an "R".

There was no room in their Republican party for crackers, bible thumpers, n**gers, share croppers, tradesmen, small merchants, townsfolk.

Times have changed. And the "R" voters aren't to found at the country club. They are in the Walmart; they are in the new subdivisions; They are in the churches.

Shelby, haven't you better review your advanced planning with the mortuary, and update your DNR directive? Time's running out.

Richard Shelby was elected to the U.S. Senate in 1986 - as a Democrat.

Shelby switched to the Republican Party in November 1994 - one day after the GOP won a majority in the House and the Senate.

In 1999, Shelby voted to acquit Bill Clinton of the perjury charge during Clinton’s Senate Trial. However, Shelby did vote to convict Clinton on the obstruction of justice charge.

I would like to read a complete history of Shelby’s public statements about Ted Kennedy and Bill Clinton, especially any statements Shelby made about sexual misconduct.

Exactly; and he gained his senate seat by running a nasty campaign against Jeremiah Denton, a true American hero.

Must be one of McConnell’s boys. ................................ He’s just another member of the club who wants to keep his share of the golden goose benefits to grow. The members have hands that stick to money.
