As the article points out, the geography is difficult in New York City and its environs. So my thought is that the same federal money spent somewhere like Dallas where the geography is easier could result in many more and bigger highways and bridges.

excellent point. Or they could put them in Wyoming, where land is cheaper and then they’d be really excellent, right? HUGE Bridges would be possible out there.
