The State of Oregon is pretty far down that slippery slope into the sewer. Now, if a child there "identifies" as "transgender," the parents can be taken out of the decision-making loop on "treatment." Parents can even be shut out of the knowledge that this "treatment" is being given.

It's only a short step away from denying these parents custody of their own flesh-and-blood children.

Some of the medical community has an idea. Johns Hopkins, which pioneered so-called sex reassignment surgery now refuses to perform such surgery.

If you tell your doctors that you are an amputee trapped in an unmutilated body and want your legs cut off they will treat you as a psychiatric patient, but if you tell your doctors that you are a woman trapped in a man’s body they will happily amputate your genitals for you.

Funny you should post that. There was a woman who “identified” as disabled (blind) and had some nut psychologist destroy her sight with drain cleaner in order to realize her “identity.”

He doesn’t say where the surgeries were done. Plus some of what he has done are things like fillers and Botox

I was just attempting to point out that if you decided you were George Washington and started asking doctors to make you look like him, it’s likely in this day and age that you wouldn’t be thought of as crazy. We’ve become so morally bereft and rationally adrift that things that should sound like parody are becoming real.
