Those amendments may have been necessary in another political climate, but there’s no doubt the SCOTUS would rule to enforce what is in them, without them in this day and age.
I do believe that the wording in some of them has had unintended consequences.
It isn’t a racist thing to think we would be better off without them today.
Roy Moore is not a racist. He is concerned with the law, and having it play out as the framers intended.
Note that we had the Civil War and abolished slavery without these amendments.
The framers knew what they were doing.
Folks in the last 100 years, not so much.

The Civil War did not abolish slavery. Slavery was still legal in Maryland and Kentucky during the war. The Emancipation Proclamation only affected those areas under military control. It took the 13th Amendment to finally abolish slavery.
