The amount of pervs doesn’t surprise me, they’ve always been around.
I just don’t want to see “perv” to defined downward to the point where some guy wolf-whistled at a pretty girl or in the case where the sportscasters was shamed and forced to apologize for noting on air that a football player’s wife (who was in the stands) was beautiful.
Sexual harassment and assault should be something a bit more substantive than such instances.

I'm with you. The other extreme is Mohammedism with veiled women and honor killings. We can't let it head there either.
An ordinary wolf whistle is not disrespectful. But Mexicans take it to a whole different level with lewd hand gestures and sucking noises. "This is why we can't have nice things."
