That's a figure of speech, dumbass. It's used all over the internet and in regular speech, and it's used to indicate that someone has to be using his ass to do the thinking.

And, why are you so sensitive about what anyone says about Anderson Cooper? Is he one of your best buds, or somebody you admire? Most people would have just skipped by the "rear-end" remark I made, and would have instead concentrated on the more significant parts of my post. So, can you now stop using your rear-end to do your thinking?
