Rep. Peter King: Bannon Looks Like A ‘Disheveled Drunk’
The Daily Caller ^ | 12/13/17 | Amber Athey

Republican Rep. Peter King called Steve Bannon a “disheveled drunk” who is “not the type of person” the Republicans need in politics during a Wednesday interview.

On CNN, King responded to Doug Jones’ win in the Alabama Senate race by trashing Bannon, who campaigned heavily for Republican Roy Moore.

“You know, I raised this not so much as a political issue but as a moral issue,” King explained. “This guy does not belong on the national stage–he looks like some disheveled drunk that wandered onto the political stage.”

I’ll take a fighter any day over a prissy nancy-boy elitist.

More and more the establishment Republicans reveal themselves and their true interests. They are NOT in DC to represent the Republicans, they are there to represent themselves in the DC special class.

A new Republican party? Ain't gonna ever happen. They intend to stay in power, even if it means scorched earth and politics of personal destruction against outsider Republicans.

The Republicans replaced the Whigs. Maybe it’s time for history to repeat.

Whatever Peter King is, he isn't a "prissy nancy-boy elitist."

He looks like he got hit by the same truck Bannon did.

In his own way King is a fighter -- maybe mostly to advance his own career, but still ....

And Bannon? For an anti-Establishment guy, he's been following the usual Establishment pattern: falling upwards.

He loses his White House job. Not he loses the Alabama election. What's he going to lose next?

King just dug his own grave.

Bannon may not be model material, but he is smart and savvy.

This is why Reps lose elections; they eat their own.

Can’t say I disagree. Bannon can run with the suits, speak with pinash, but chose to look and behave like a mountain man. I agree he had the countenance of a drunk in that one Alabama rally last week.

Bannon needs to clean up and go lead, like we know he can.

I don’t think he is losing.

Trump set him free to campaign. He lost Moore but I don’t see the fallout.

You think Bannon is responsible for this? What did Bannon do to cause this loss?

This is what I am thinking too.

He works for a living and is quite intelligent.

King could have been better off to keep his trap shut.

BS. You’re just not listening. Bannon has it in spades, on substance. You’ve missed the point.

I'm not a fan of Peter King on most issues, but he's as intrenched as a politician
can get. He won his first district election by 50% (1992) and today he gets closer to 60%. The only way there will be change in his district will be if he retires or dies. Unfortunately, he personifies East Coast Limousine Republicans.

Ah ... yes. An independent minded FReeper. :-) Whether I agree with these specific points is irrelevant. I like the way you think and challenge the herd.

Maybe he will gain 100 lbs, so he can look like Ted Kennedy.

The republican party really hates conservatives. Really hated them. Did you ever hear an elected republican official say that Ted Kennedy looked like a disheveled drunk? Of course not. ‘Nuff said.
