Congratulations, Steve Bannon, you just elected a Democrat (Wrong)

Stephen K. Bannon and his alt-right movement have helped accomplish something no one in a quarter-century has been able to do: get a Democrat elected in the state of Alabama.

Alabama is one of the most reliably Republican states in the country. The last time a Democrat was elected was in 1992, and no Democrat has won more than 40 percent of the vote in a Senate race there since 1996. The closest election in recent memory was in 2002, when Jeff Sessions won reelection by a razor-thin margin of 19 points. Sen. Richard Shelby has won his last three elections by 35 points, 30 points and 28 points, respectively. So it takes a special kind of stupid to pick a candidate who can lose to a Democrat in Alabama.

I just email this establishment POS and told him Bannon had nothing to do with the democrat “winning.” It was one 100% the fault of the GOP establishment refusing to support the candidate the people of Alabama chose to run for the senate. That and massive fraud from the democrats. It’s asses like this GW Bush snob Thiessen and his establishment pals that are destroying the Republican Party. The future of the GOP if it survives are Steve Bannon and patriots like him. They will MAGA, not yesterday’s news. The GOPe.

1. Sessions should have stayed Senator.

2. If #1 was ignored, Bannon, Trump, and the GOPe should have supported Mo Brooks.

3. Either of those approaches would have resulted in a Republican Senator for 2018.

Whatever. What's the difference between Doug Jones and a generic Republicans these days? Ain't none of 'em got any stones to stand up for what's right. But "the people" don't want people like Roy Moore to stand up for what's right. They want free stuff, abortion, gun control, and state-sponsored evil across the land. Why, it's Democracy@

Let it all burn, I say.

Plenty of blame to go around.

First and foremost, the people of Alabama, Republican Alabamans in particular, who fielded a candidate so loathsome that 650,000 Trump voters stayed home.

In what delusional world did Alabamans think Roy Moore was electable to the U.S. Senate?

Alabama, please do better next time.

Id put ALL of the blame on that POS McCONnell. Shelby didn’t help, and he’s 81 years old, on his last election cycle, so he won’t ever run again for anything but the toilet when he $hits his pants.

Shall we count how many Democrats the RINOs under Rove/McConnell have elected in the past 2 decades (which INCLUDES Dougie Jones) ?

Shelby will be 84 in May. And I expect he may very well try to run for reelection in 2022 when he’s 88.

I think everyone is missing the point.

McConnell is losing senators. McCain is as good as dead. Jones is a dim. It is foolish to think that no more will be accused of sexual harassment.

McConnell is a snake, but unlike the snake he is not stupid. He knows all of this and is using it to sabotage Trump’s mission.

If this plan works, he can sit back and smirk because he has damaged Trump without getting blamed. His outward appearance will be “I tried but just could not get the votes.”

When in fact he engineered it so that he would not get the votes.

If the establishment had got behind the man, instead of their slurs then the Judge would have won, but yet again the establishment screws us over.
The let does it to their base to, but the difference is that conservatives see this, and hold the establishment accountable where as the liberal base just ignores how they are crapped on and carry on voting for their establishment types.

For those of us with long memories and students of WWII the name Thiessen conjures up some nasty thoughts.

Bannon went against Trump. He chose poorly. You’d think by now Bannon could have put his massive ego aside long enough to consider that Trump might have been right. Hasn’t the President earned the benefit of the doubt by now?

Thank you. Moore would have been great for POTUS agenda BUT Jones is no different than McConnell or McCain. The left spent tens of millions to get this loser in the senate, and more than likely he’ll be booted in three years.

They have a strange view of victory.

I mean EVERYONE was against Moore but his own party publicly denouncing him, pulling funds, and even talking about a write-in candidate is what did Moore in not Bannon.
Who knew what plot they were brewing up behind the scenes, but it was clearly well orchestrated and costs tens of millions.

You are exactly right .. McConnell and Bannon are both to blame for this mess ... There is a long track record of so-called “insurgent” candidates that lost what would have been easy wins ... Angle , Akin , and Mourdock come to mind ...

Fact that he did not even conduct normal campaign appearances because every time he did he alienated more voters is reason in itself for his loss.

It really was a miracle that he came as close as he did. The only reason he did was that he had the R beside his name. Yet he blames the party for his loss.
