I question if the GOP really wants to be in power. They seem to prefer the under dog role.

Washington Post propaganda?

It’s time for a little break.

President Trump supported Luther Strange in the primary because he knew Roy Moore had a general election problem. Steve Bannon opposed President Trump in this election and Alabama ended up with Roy Moore as the Republican candidate, and then a liberal Democrat elected to the Senate.

In previous state wide elections:
Moore was elected chief justice of the Alabama Supreme Court on November 6, winning 51.8 percent of the vote over Robert S. Vance. He previously won the Republican primary on March 13, receiving 50 percent of the vote.[20][21][22]

I blame Richard Shelby and the senate surrender caucus.

McConnell spent millions on attack ads against Mo Brooks.

I give full credit for the loss of this seat to Mitch McConnell.

His personal power and wealth are more important to him than country or party.

It was 100% a too flawed candidate. And some of the blame for that goes to McTurtle.

Bannon is boldly going after the deep state and is bound with his intelligence and overconfidence to sometimes back the wrong horse. He’ll win the next one; I’d put money on it.

If they keep repeating “ alleged sex predator “ enough times then you’re labeled as guilty. That’s what Bezo’s Amazon’s Washington Post has done.

What happened is GOP voters are disappointed and discouraged by the GOP congress and Trumps severe unpopularity. They were unmotivated to come out and vote. Democrats voters are very motivated and emboldened by Trumps massive unpopularity.

It’s going to get worse. Republicans in congress still refuse to work with Trump and Trumps approval ratings are headed for the 20’s. 2018 is going to be a huge victory for the Democrats. The GOP earned this. Very pathetic performance.

Trumps severe unpopularity

Huh? The base is ecstatic about Trump keeping his promises. He is as popular as he was when he was elected in the GOP.

It all those piled on Moore and encouraged a write-in campaign that depressed turnout in Alabama.

The GOPe worked hard to assure Moore lost.

Bannon, Trump, and the GOPe should have supported Mo Brooks.

Brooks was the target of the GOPe in the primary. That's why Moore won.

First and foremost, the people of Alabama, Republican Alabamans in particular, who fielded a candidate so loathsome that 650,000 Trump voters stayed home.

I have long regarded you as both a kook and an imbecile, and this statement by you is another data point to add to the supporting evidence for it.

Oh, and did I mention dishonorable? Accepting accusations as true without proof is morally wrong.
