Moore was toast. That meme against Strange has been bouncing around for more than a year and gone no where. He would have trounced Jones.
Then why didn't he win the primary?
Illogical statement. Because the tax bill will pass with support from ALL GENERIC republicans in congress, and not a single democRat senator will vote for it. It is logical to conclude, that a generic republican is better than ANY democRat.
That was a BRILLIANT post, and matches your ID.
I don’t recall Trump getting any funding help from the RNC/GOP. Trump had skills to attract voters. Trump fought every attack and counter punched.
Please describe how Moore fought attacks and counter punched. He went into hiding for several days prior to election.
Let’s face the reality of elections. There are good candidates and there are bad candidates.
Indeed.
Roy Moore refused to support Republican candidates in the past. Then they refused to support him when he ran.
I think he may already be regretting that. Maybe not, though. He's not that willing to admit that he might have been wrong.
May be because voters in Alabama OVER-ESTIMATED Moore’s skills as a statewide candidate against democrats and their supporters in media.

Some nice revisionist history there. This is about way more than Moore. RINOs viscously attacked POTUS and refused to support him against Hillary Criminal. They’ll do the same against MAGA Republicans if they should happen to win GOP primaries in 2018.
There seems to be a large collection of you guys who think all of our problems will be solved when we have “SUPERCANDIDATE!” This just tells me you haven’t been paying attention and don’t understand the situation.
The surrender caucus wing of the GOP always finds a reason to surrender. Always.
Given Hannity’s close history with Mo Brooks, I am wondering what Brooks whispered in his ear about Moore.
The problem is not our candidates, the problem is that the Democrats have control of the broadcasting system, and we don't. They always paint our candidates as "kooks" and they cover up any bad information about their own.
McConnell got a Democrat elected in Alabama when he attacked Mo Brooks in the primary, and assured he'd lose. McConnell didn't count on disaffected Brooks voters migrating to Moore; he probably thought they'd go to Strange or he wouldn't have done it.

There is no such town of Bordalama in Alabama.
That is not to say that there wasn't vote fraud there, but citing a fake story about a non-existent town doesn't prove anything.
Luther strange, as Attorney General of Alabama (and former DC lobbyist), made a deal with the corrupt governor to impede an impeachment investigation in exchange for an appointment to the Senate.
If Strange had won the runoff, it is absolutely certain that the Rats would have made a huge issue of this in the election, and who could blame them?
No argument over whom the media favors.
Fact #1: Media was solidly anti-Trump for the 2016 election
Fact #2: Trump overcame the media assault. And he did notgo in hiding after being attacked. He counter-punched with gusto.
Fact #3: Moore did not have the skills or personality to overcome media assault. He was missing in action 2 days before election day.
Fact #4: Moore’s accusers required 40 years of quiet before surfacing? I have never heard of such late accusations not be able to counter-punch. Let’s not stick our heads in sand. Moore was a pathetic candidate, lacking charisma and lacking political skills.
I do not believe McConnell has such power in Alabama to dismantle Mo Brooks. If Roy Moore was not in the race, Mo Brooks could have won, McConnell or no McConnell.
Voters in Alabama mistakenly thought Moore had enough political skills to prevail in general. He had better name recognition statewide. That is why Moore won nomination. Sadly, Moore has zero political skills and no charisma on the stump.
But tying himself to an unpopular losing candidate didn't do his brand any favors.
McConnell put his thumb on the scale of the primary election by funding smear ads against Brooks. Perhaps Brooks would have been seen as having better political skills than Moore if McConnell hadn't poisoned the well, and instead let the candidates duke it out amongst themselves alone?

Agreed on McConnell being a jerk. But we can’t wish McConnell away. We have to deal with the hand dealt to us. Instead of picking a candidate whose main meme was he was anti-McConnell (that would be Roy Moore), Alabama voters should have realized Mo Brooks would run a better campaign against the (democrat opponent+media).
But now it is time to close the books on this. Election is over. Voter Fraud not withstanding. Alabama voters need to become more politically astute and pick Mo Brooks or equivalent in 2020 and stay away from bad candidates like Moore, Akin and Mourdock.
