An Arizona jury has refused to award damages against former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio at a civil trial for bringing a since-dismissed criminal case against one of Sen. Jeff Flake's sons in the heat-exhaustion deaths of 21 dogs.
Jurors deliberated nearly an hour before ruling late Thursday against Austin Flake and his then-wife Logan Brown in their malicious-prosecution lawsuit stemming from Arpaio's investigation into the heat-exhaustion deaths of 21 dogs at a kennel operated by Flake's in-laws.
Flake and Brown, who were in college at the time, were caring for the dogs while the in-laws were out of town.

Sheriff Joe triumphs again, go to hell anyone in Saint Jeffy’s family!
Things to never tell a Mormon.
1) “Say, would you mind watching my dog for a few days?”
Well they weren’t exactly “caring” for the dogs if 21 died, were they?
Just what I need. ANOTHER reason to despise the Flakes!
Anyone up for a recall to get the buttwipe out in less than a year?
HA HA HA
It’s probably more accurate to state it’s something you never say to the Flake children.
I love how it’s supposed to be Sheriff Joe’s fault that their marriage failed and that the guy had an “Honor Code” violation in college..... do people seriously say this stuff?? Do lawyers really try to assert such crap in a courtroom????
Considering the suit, I might include the whole Flake family in that.
Romney comes to mind. I’ll use the broad brush here and keep mormons away from my loyal dog.
Was there a dog issue with him?
I’ve forgotten, if so.
Romney strapped the dog to the roof of a station wagon in a cage. Poor terrified thing crapped itself.
Well, he allegedly strapped a dog cage, to the top of his car, but I don’t know if that was a real thing. Kind of white trash of him.
Do you know if the latte part is true?
That was how it was reported.
Yeah, he drove cross country with a dog in a carrier, strapped to the top of a station wagon IIRC.
My wife and I went to the fund raiser/protest in Mesa for these animals. BTW I was raised Mormon
The Flake apple doesn’t fall far...
Oh yes,... how did I forget about that?
I take back my former comments DesertRhion. LOL
NIckCarraway, I don’t have anything to offer on a “Latte” matter.
